Dr. Lindy O’Neal grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, and knew from the age of four that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She pursued that dream by earning her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Arkansas before moving to Baton Rouge with her husband, Josh, to attend the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduating from LSU, Dr. O’Neal practiced for two years at a busy six-doctor hospital in Las Vegas before returning home to Arkansas in 2012 to put down roots and raise a family. Today, she and Josh are the proud parents of three wonderful children—Saylor, Anniston, and Hyson—who keep life exciting outside of the hospital.

Dr. O’Neal is a partner and owner of Animal Medical Center, where she is passionate about providing exceptional care while continually advancing the practice of veterinary medicine. Her professional interests include orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine, and veterinary leadership. She enjoys helping patients through complex surgical cases while also mentoring team members and creating an outstanding experience for clients and their pets.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. O’Neal has dedicated herself to serving the veterinary profession through organized veterinary medicine. She has served for ten years as Arkansas’ delegate in the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) House of Delegates and spent six years on the AVMA House Advisory Committee, including one year as its chair. She also serves in leadership roles within the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association and enjoys advocating for veterinarians and the future of the profession.

Dr. O’Neal believes that the best veterinary medicine combines medical excellence with compassionate communication. She values educating pet owners, building lasting relationships with families, and helping every client feel informed and confident in their pet’s care.

Outside the hospital, Dr. O’Neal enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and making memories outdoors. Her home is always full of activity with her beloved cavalier king charles spaniels as well as her cats and honeybees. She treasures every opportunity to balance a fulfilling veterinary career with an active family life.
