Dr. Blomberg graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He pursued a small animal career in Fayetteville, Arkansas for several years. He then was offered the opportunity to work in the poultry field, which he did for 21 years. During this time, Dr. Blomberg provided veterinary services to a horse breeding farm, was active with the local animal shelters and provided relief services to local veterinary practices. After retiring from poultry, he returned to full time small animal practice.

Dr. Blomberg is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association. He has been on numerous boards and several committees dedicated to the welfare of animals.
